If you want to merge two different word document into one in Microsoft Word, there are two ways to go about it. You can either do it manually, or let MS Word do it for you automatically. Below, I will give you detailed guide on how to achieve both.
Merging Documents Manually
Note though when you are merging documents, the text formatting and other formatting options that you have applied to the document you are merging to the current document will remain the same. This means that the formatting of the current document will not override the formatting of the content of the document you are merging to the current one.

- Open the document you want to merge to (i.e the document you want to move the content of the other document to).
- Open the document you want to merge from (i.e. the document you want its content to be merge with the current document).
- While on the document you want to merge from press Ctrl + A and then Ctrl + C buttons to select all the content of the document and then copy to content to your computer's clipboard respectively.
- Now switch to the document you want to merge to, place the insertion point where you want to content of the other document to be shown.
- Now press Ctrl + V.
- Open the document you want to merge to.
- Place the insertion point where you want the content of the other document that is to be merged to appear.
- Now click on the Insert tab in the Ribbon.
- Locate the Text command group, and click on the little triangle beside the Object command icon.
- Now click on the Text from file... option in the menu that will appear.
- In the Insert File dialog box that will pop-up, locate the file you want to merge, select it and then click on the Insert button on the dialog box.
