How To Blur A Part Of An Image In Photoshop

As the name implies, Photoshop is an image editing tool for PC, and it is great at doing just that. One of its image editing feature is BLUR, and with this post, I will teach you how to blur, not the entire image, but a section of the image in Photoshop. So let's begin.

  1. Open the image you want to blur with Photoshop, or if Photoshop is already open, you can import it.
  2. Next, select the Marquee tool from the Tool Bar in the left. You can also use the keyboard shortcut which is M to select the Marquee tool.
  3. Now using the tool, draw a marquee selection box around the section of the image you want to blur.
  4. After that, go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and when the Gaussian Blur dialog box pop-up, check the Preview box to see a live preview of the blur effect you are about initiate.
    Now Radius: figure until it is completely blurred to your satisfaction, then click the OK button to apply it.
That's it.
