On the 25th of July 2017, Adobe made public their desire to put an end to the Flash technology by the end of 2020, and because Mozilla is commited to the web, they too have publish a roadmap to the end of Flash support in Firefox.
In the roadmap which can be found by clicking here, Benjamin Smedberg an architect for the Firefox product integrity team explains that "Flash will be disabled by default for most users in 2019" and that "only users running the Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) will be able to continue using Flash through the final end-of-life at the end of 2020."
