What You Should Know About Facebook Zero

As you may have already known, Facebook Zero allows you to access Facebook on your mobile device without internet charges. But there are so things you should know about this initiative (Facebook Zero). These are:

  1. If you are using or want to use Facebook Zero, then you should know that what you are accessing is a stripped-down version of Facebook for mobile. That is, only the text content of Facebook will be displayed to you. though thumbnails of some pictures might be shown, but you should not be expecting that.

  2. Before you can use Facebook Zero, your mobile operator have to have entered an agreement with Facebook Inc.

  3. Although the full content of the agreement is not made available for general circulation, you should know that when you start using Facebook Zero, then Facebook has the right to tell others who are using the same mobile operator service as you, that you are using Facebook Zero on that network.

  4. That Facebook Inc. can share information on how you are using Facebook with the mobile operator you are using to access Facebook Zero and their groups (e.g. a branch of the Mobile operator)

  5. Your mobile operator will allow Facebook Inc. periodic access to your mobile account with them. This means that Facebook Inc. can gain access to your load balance, promo balance and the likes.

That is all we know for now about using the Facebook Zero. We will keep updating it when we learn of new development, so make sure to subscribe by submitting your e-mail address in the Follow by email box below.
