Most Recent Post Can Appear First In Your Facebook News Feed, This Is How To Do It In Your Smartphone

As you may already know, the stories that appears in your Facebook News Feed are not in their most recent order, that is why you can see a post from five years ago appearing first in your Facebook News Feed. This is because, Facebook default settings has it that the most popular stories from your Facebook friends, page you liked and group you are in will appear first or at the top of your News Feed.

But if you wish to view Facebook stories/post from your friends, page and group in your News Feed and you are browsing Facebook with your smartphone browser, do the following:

  1. Scroll to the top of the News Feed screen, or if you are already on top

  2. Tap the Menu button which is at the far-right of the Facebook navigation bar as shown in the image below.
  3. Next tap or select Most Recent from the list of option in the menu that appears

That is all. Once done, your Facebook News Feed will refresh itself and will load the recent Facebook updates/stories posted by your friends, Page or group in their most recent order. Which means that the most recent post from your Facebook friends, page or group will appear first.

You should also know that this change you apply is temporary, so your Facebook News Feed will return to it default settings at the long run.

The Main Point
Though updates and stories that appear in your Facebook News Feed are arrange based on how popular the post from your friends, page and group is, you can temporarily change it so that only the most recent update are displayed. The guide above is to help you do that if you are surfing Facebook with your smartphone browser.
