More To Facebook Like Button

The reasons people have to visit their facebook account are very diverse. Amidst these diverse reasons, one most popular reason is so as to discover what's happening in their world and around the world, Such discovery are usually from updates which are sometime thought-provoking, happy, sad or funny.

But more to just being aware of update, is the ability to express how an update you see in your News Feed makes you feel. In an effort to help you express the way you fell about an update quickly and easily, Sammi Krug, a Product Manager for facebook was assign by facebook to make this announcement on their official blog: "Today" being the 24th of February 2016 "we are launching Reactions, an extension of the Like button, to give you more ways to share your reaction to a post in a quick and easy way."

Note that from the quoted announcement, Reaction is not a replacement of the Like button, neither is it a separate feature, but rather it is an "extension of the Like button" something more like an update to facebook Like button.

Hence starting from 24th February 2016, the facebook Like button is no longer use strictly for liking a post which shows that the update is worthy of your admiration, but will also be used to help you specify quickly and easily if the update made you sad, angry, laugh, surprise or if you just love the update content.
