We all love WhatsApp, for this reason, we turn it's service to help us stay in touch with the people that we care about. And we were highly glad when we learn that our device back then is now supported to use WhatsApp.

But if you take a critical look at the smartphone market you will notice that when WhatsApp started back then in 2009 the operating system of those smartphones were offered by Blackberry and Nokia, while this days 99.5% of smartphones uses the mobile operating systems which Google, Apple and Microsoft offers.
For this reason, by the end of 2016 WhatsApp is "ending support for WhatsApp Messenger on the following mobile platforms:

― BlackBerry, including BlackBerry 10
― Nokia S40
― Nokia Symbian S60
― Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
― Windows Phone 7.1"

So by the end of 2016, any user using a mobile device which uses one of the operating system outlined above will no longer be able to use the WhatsApp Messenger.
