How to Turn On or Off Background Apps in Windows 10 Anniversary Update


As you may well know, Background Apps can slow down the performance of your computer and can even have a negative effect on your computer's battery consumption. So if you are running Windows 10 anniversary update as your computer operating system (OS), the guide below will teach you how to either ON or OFF Background Apps.




How To Turn ON or Off Background Apps
  1. Open the background apps setting window of Windows 10 anniversary update.
    To do this, press Ctrl+I in your keyboard.
     
  2. Click on the Privacy icon in the Setting screen that will appear.

     
  3. In the left section of the Privacy screen, scroll down and click on the Background apps option.

     
  4. Then in the right section, the full list of program running in the background or better still, the full list of program which have the ability to run in the background will appear.
    Now all you need to do is to Toggle on or off the switch next the that program you want to give or take away its permission to run in the background.
That is it.
