How To Deactivate The Adjust Table Row/Column Tooltip That Appears When You Hover Your Mouse On A Table | LibreOffice Writer 5.2

This tooltip can be annoying and can get on your nerves especially when you want to use your mouse pointer to show someone something in the table. So if you are already feeling irritated by this feature, I do relate with you, that is why I decide to share how you can deactivate this feature. So follow the steps below:

  1. In the Menu bar, click on Tools then Options. or you can use the shortcut key which is Alt+F12 to open the Option dialog.

  2. In the right section of the Option dialog box, Expand LibreOffice and select Advanced. Then click on the Open Expert Configuration button in left section.

  3. The the Expert Configuration dialog box opens, use the search box to search for org.openoffice.Office.Common. or if your sight is very good, you can locate it among the Preference Name list. When you do, double-click on it, to expand it.

  4. After that, double-click on the Help sub-option to expand it tool (note that if you use the search box to search for org.openoffice.Office.Common all the sub-option will be expanded.)
Then double-click on the Help Preference Name which Property is Tip and which Type is Boolean and which Value is true, so as to change the value to false.
When it has change, it means that you have deactivated it, so what you need do now is to click on the OK button in the two dialog box to save the change and exit the dialog box.
