What Is PUP?

The full meaning of the word PUP is, Potentially Unwanted Program. In other words, PUPs are program you actually do not requested for, but you installed it.

In most cases they are spyware, adware or other software that can pose a security threat. This does not mean that spyware, adware and others are PUPs, rather a spyware and others software is classified as PUP because to you agreed with the license agreement (EULA) of a software they are attached to.

The Main Point
PUPs are additional software you probably will or do not need or ask for but is in your computer because you install a program/software they are attached to.
