Using Blogger Post Editor To Resolve Mixed Content Issue




Mixed content always pose a security threat to both you and your blog readers. So if you are using HTTPS as your connection type for your Blogspot blog always make sure that nothing in your post is constituting mixed content. If you are not a programmer and thus do not really know what can cause a mixed content, Blogger post editor can help you out. Here is how to use it.


After you have enabled HTTPS for your blog do the following

For Old Posts
  • Click on Edit which is below the title of the post.
  • After the post have been loaded into the blogger post editor, change the post editor view from Compose to HTML.
  • Next click Save or Update.
  • If a mixed content error/issue is detected the by blogger post editor, it will be shown above the editor along with an option for you to fix the errors found automatically.
  • Finally, click Fix

For New Post
  • After you have finished creating the post, change the blogger post editor view from Compose to HTML
  • Next click Save or Update.
  • If a mixed content error/issue is detected the by blogger post editor, it will be shown above the editor along with an option for you to fix the errors found automatically.
  • Finally, click Fix

Note: Before the editor will be able to check for mixed content error/issues you need to have enabled HTTPS, and also the editor's view needs to be in HTML and not in Compose. Also know that the editor will not check for such errors as you code/create your post, it is only when the editor attempts to save or publish or update the post that it will check for any mixed content issues/errors in your post.
