The Duplicate Function Of CorelDRAW X3

CorelDraw X3 support a function/command called DUPLICATE. This command as the name implies is used to create a copy of an object or text directly in the drawing window.

One great difference between the Duplicate command/function from the Copying and Pasting function is that the Duplicate function of CorelDraw X3 does not make use of  or depend on the Clipboard before it can create the copy of the object or text you want. And because of this fact, using the Duplicate function seems to be faster than copying and pasting.

Another thing is that, when you are using the Duplicate function to create a copy of an object or text, you can specify the distance between the duplicated copy and the original object or text. In CorelDraw X3, the distance between the duplicated copy from the original object or text is called OFFSET.

The Offset of the duplicated copy is calculated along the x and y axes of the original object or text.

To use the DUPLICATE function/command of CorelDraw X3, Select the object or text you wish to duplicate, next click on Edit in the file menu of the CorelDraw X3 window, finally click Duplicate in the drop-down menu of Edit that appear. Or press Ctrl+D after you have Selected the object or text, if you wish to use the keyboard shortcut instead.
